(PA- Three Mile Island) NRC Tours presents... Three Mile Island Vacation Package
It was the partial meltdown, that was spawned by a stuck valve and user error. And while the radioactive output was minimal, it brought this invisible energy world to the public and changed opinion. With the just post accident chaotic atmosphere, here a local character, "Mr Radiation", created the idea of tours lampooning the event and key people involved. A scarce ephemeral image that catches the shifting public perception.
